In this week’s lead generation news, we take a look at markets. Virtual markets that may or may not exist, arbitrage markets in food and the data behind a trending meme. I try not to get stuck on some of these stories, but the virtual designer clothes thing. . .if that takes off I may just give up this work thing because it may mean I don’t understand markets at all. Sometimes you bump into a sales premise that sounds so flawed it makes you wonder if you’ve missed something. Is it easier to find 1 person willing to spend $1K or 1000 people willing to spend $1? It’s hard to find 1000 people! I mean, it used to be, right? I used to work in the apparel business and if there is a virtual market for a virtual copy of every design you ever created it could be “big, if true” as the kids say. Popeyes Employee Confronted by Co-Workers After Allegedly Selling Chicken Sandwiches on Side

“There’s a new story to add to the ongoing list of craziness surrounding the re-release of Popeyes chicken sandwich. A fight broke out at a Los Angeles Popeyes recently between two employees. Apparently, the scuffle stemmed from one employee blaming another for selling chicken sandwiches on the side.”
Two food stories jumped out at me this week. This hubbub over the Popeye’s spicy chicken sandwich leads to a secondary market being created. I guess you can scalp concert tickets but if you work in the kitchen at Popeye’s don’t steal then scalp sandwiches! I wonder if the violence was because the other employees didn’t think of it first or because they didn’t get their fair share? It’s not a commission based job, is it?
